I havnt used TSW2 since its launch, however i did on release and it worked without crashing and I have a AMD processor. Ive come back to the sim this evening to find it is crashing. Not to desk top but freezing so i have to actually switch of the power.

The only thing i have done since last playing tsw2 was to install Norton antivirus. Could this be the issue?

From what I can find online line it appears a lot of Norton users experienced the same issues you're getting. You may try going into the security settings of Norton and seeing if there is a list where you can add TSW2 to so Norton would ignore TSW2 as a threat. Also if Norton has a firewall in it as well make sure that TSW2 is allowed access.

I use Norton for several years and I do not experience any issues with TSW2020 or TSW2 So, if it causes issues oit not for all users.

I tried again today without Norton. Using the Caltrain route i still get a crash. This evening i used the sand patch grade without crashing, until I used the Snow scenario (who's title escapes me). Googling Unreal engine 4 crashes, seem to be common on some platforms but Epic Games, I assume who own the rights to Unreal engine, have quickly pushed the blame back onto AMD and the guys providing the game based on unreal engine. The guys from Unreal Engine believe because people didn't have an issue in the past it is an issue with GPU drivers or software provided by whoever.

I haven't with any other games I use while using Norton, But have been aware that Norton and others who provide Such security software take over your PC. I recently moved from Virgin Media to EE for financial reasons and was offered Norton on 10 devices free for a year. So decided to take up the offer. I've always relied since W8 on the Microsoft built in security and I have never had any issues. In my own opinion these security software firms have had their day as Microsoft, Apple , Android, need to protect their product and reputation so would not let down their guard unlike the early days of the interweb.

I know it was mentioned that Unreal did not support beta graphic drivers, so DTG had recommended rolling back to 20.4.2. Someone here has now tested AMD latest drivers 20.9.2 and has had no crashes. I have since upgraded mine to that but have not yet had a chance to try it out.
