Norway yes but either got to be the Flam branch or part of the Bergen line for the scenery! Not detracting from the original suggestion but a flat route to the airport could be anywhere, want something that reflects the character of the country.

I'm routing for this route. As for the rolling stock, I'd really like to see both the new CAF Oaris (https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAF_Oaris) and the ADtranz Type 71 (https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_71_(motorvognsett)).

Though the whole distance Drammen - Oslo (approx. 90 km/55 miles) may be a bit too long, the distance from Sandvika to Oslo Airport (approx. 48 km/29 miles) should be well within reach.

There are local trains running alongside the Airport Train, which may be added to allow both "high" speed services (today 210 km/130 miles) as well as local services. The rolling stock for the local services are both the older NEBB/ABB Type 69 and the modern Stadler FLIRT Type 74, 75, 7x I.e. with the new Vy livery: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vy_(transport_operator). Have a look at this site for more information on the trains in Norway: https://www.norsketog.no/tog

Some last minute pros and cons:

    Pros:

    - A good mix of "high" speed and "local" services.
    - Could add some exciting scenarios at Oslo Airport.
    - DTG experience with similar routes (I.e. Rapid Transit) may be a good thing for a first shot at a Norwegian route.
    - The Oslo Sentral station is located next to the modern "barcode" district, the opera house and quite a lot of modern architecture to gaze upon.
    - A good mixture of tunnells, underground passages and open landcape.
    - Communicating in english should not be a problem.

    Cons:

    - Not showing off the magnificent Norwegian scenery. I.e. Flaam and Romsdal (which we can look into later).
    - Not really "high" speed when compared to LGV or Köln-Aachen for that matter.
    - Researching! Difficult to travel abroad these days - so that may be an obstacle.
