When I simulate my timetable, not all the instructions complete. Most often, early in the timetable, everything works fine, and later on trains do not start, instructions are not completed, etc. I tested the service path in PIE beforehand, and it works. What is the problem? Also, the simulator crashes after simulating with an assertion failed error.
That's all perfectly normal. To figure out what the problem is, use the log file and the playback view.
Checking the playback view, it seems like all the trains are freezing in 1 place for no reason, and jamming up the network. If it helps, I am using GWE but with modern trains. Could it be an electrification issue? EDIT: I have found a train, which seems to pass a green signal, and stop there afterwards, forever. This jams up the network. Thing is, I tested that exact service in PIE, and it works without issue. What could this be?
Great! Finding the first train to get stuck is the first step - now look for that train in the log file to find out why it's not moving.
I cant figure out why its not moving, however, removing all services that run to and from Maidenhead Platform 5, which is where the stuck train came from, seems to have solved the problem (at least for the first 9 hours)
Wish I had an idea for you since it seems like it isn’t a stop signal holding it up? I saw this once before with a service that mysteriously stopped and no info in the log. It was a freight train stalling on a hill, had to add a locomotive to the front of the formation.
