PlayStation Not Enough Power (locomotives) To Complete Timetable Runs

So I'm currently working on the timetable runs for Sand Patch and since I'm more of a fan of the SD40-2 then the AC4400 or CW40, I chose those for my loco to complete any that you can use them. However, starting with the first run, Q249, they only give you 2 SD40-2, totaling 6000hp to haul a 4659.2T train up the hill. I tried it and it stalled out about 2 miles from Mance. Now I know I can complete it with the other locomotives, but why would Dovetail show it as available to run and not give you a third or fourth loco.

I'm writing this after trying to run Q015, only 3990.6T train but in the foggy winter and stalled out at 10 miles before Mance. I disconnected 20 of the 50 cars and was able to get over the pass, leaving 20 cars on the mainline. Again, why offer it without enough power.

 

I'm fairly sure there are helper locos at the back of these services- are you setting them up correctly? If no helpers, is your trailing SD40-2 setup correctly? If not, you will get stuck just like you said. There are multiple threads on these forums that can help you with DPU setup.
