The amount of unique power on NS is quite amazing, especially with many of the rebuilds that come out of the Juniata shops. This pack would add 3 of the rebuilt locomotives that came from the shops in the game. 1. SD40E Anyone who's been to the curve is very familiar with the SD40E. Built from old, unreliable SD50s, these locomotives are used quite a bit for helper service on the Pittsburgh Line (the line through Horseshoe Curve). The bulk of the services added would be helper services returning to the helper stations. Although the locomotives could also be used in a few services (much like the GP38-2). 2. SD60E Another engine to come out of Juniata was the SD60E. This locomotive has a distinct Crescent cab that was designed by NS. This locomotive was more used for a varying freight role. Could be used for mainline freight. There are also 3 specially painted locomotives. Honoring Our Veterans #6920, GoRail #6963, and First Responders Unit #911. 3. SD70ACu With HSC taking place around 2018 - 2019, the SD70ACu would be one of the newer rebuilds leaving the shops. While these locomotive are used as helpers now, most were used in mainline freight service. However, they could be used for both in TSW 2. Other Additions With the addon, I would also like to see a few more rolling stock make it into the DLC. Particularly, coil steel cars, autoracks, and spline cars for truck trailers. Also this would add a new timetable that includes helper service that is more realistic to that of the curve. Conclusion This probably won't happen. But we can hope. I honestly think that HSC is a pretty cool route. I would love to flesh it out a lot more and get more NS content at the same time. Heck, even just a Heritage unit pack for the ES44AC would be nice or adding an NS SD70ACe.
Really excellent idea for external following can be Reskin form UP SD70ACE The Sand Patch Grade Can be Reskin Form CSX
Another locomotive here is a GP33Eco which was rebuilt from a GP50. Railway Age has an article on GP33eco which can also fit on Horseshoe Curve and is EPA Tier 3 compliant and from Trains Magazine Paywall after 7 free articles the First locomotive was unveiled on January 6th 2015 Video
The SD40-2s with the Admiral Cab would be a cool addition. I'd also like to see the AC44C6M (rebuilt C40-9/C40-9W) and SD70ACC (rebuild SD70).
