I feel like coaster would be a great addition to train sim world since we haven't gotten a route that goes to sand Diego yet. But it runs to Santa fee from ocean side or from sante fe to ocean side. Either way this would be a fun route and since we don't have a sc44 charger. But it would be a great route. Let me know what you think of this. History: Coaster service began on February 27, 1995. NCTD originally contracted Amtrak to provide personnel for Coaster trains. In July 2006, TransitAmerica Services took over the day-to-day operation of the commuter train, based on a five-year, $45 million contract with NCTD.
Of course, this is the southern end of the Pacific Surfliner route. That means we should get both the Coaster and Surfliner Siemens SC44 Chargers in game, along with Coaster Commuter Cars/Cab Cars and Surfliner Cars/Superliner Cars/Cab Cars. BNSF also runs some freight on this route, so a BNSF GP60 (in both H3 Swoosh and ATSF/BNSF Patched Blue/Yellow liveries) or GP60M(-3) (in ATSF/BNSF Patched Warbonnet and H3 Swoosh liveries) would be perfect for yard and local duties on the route. An ET44C4, ES44AC/DC, or C44-9W would be perfect for heavier freight services. We would need some BNSF freight equipment, besides the rolling stock from Cajon Pass. Military equipment, intermodal, and autorack cars would be great to see, as well as boxcars, hoppers (cement, grain, coal), and reefers. For additional DLCs: Amtrak P42DC, Surfliner F59PHI, and BNSF GP38-2 or GP39-2/GP39-3; also the other BNSF 6-axle diesels not included w/ base route.
