A minor thing, but when creating a custom consist in TS, it would be good to see it telling you the number of wagons in the consist, not just the length of the train. When you are creating a train longer than the width of the window, it can be hard to manually count, as the scrolling is not always obvious.
Having the damn thing open when you have a large library would be something, the consist editor has been a preverbial chocolate fireguard (or ashtray on a motorbike if you prefer) for me for the last year pretty much. At least a one man third party developer managed to get it right.
Why not make a consist of say 16 - 20 (a countable number) and then use that in multiple to make a longer consist which you then save as a new one?
Sometimes it’s hard to keep track even with that number. I was looking at variants of an AP wagon, and adding, moving and deleting, and with using the arrow keys to scroll and check how many I had, it isn’t always easy to see if the window has actually moved on. I guess I need to use ‘card counting’ skills next time!
Never use the ingame Consist Editor. Either assemble it in the Scenario Editor and save or use TS Tools.
Yeah. Enough other ways to do it than the restricted and clunky QD consist editor (that refuses to work at some point if you have too many assets installed...)
