sudden drop from 110 to 55. ACSES notifies it right before change.
cause me about -1500 points, is there anyway to overcome it?

+is this question should be in Technical report section?

Is it the one between Newark and Trenton? The S cuve?

ACSES doesn't warn about track speed, you are just supposed to know. A few years ago a train toppled near Philadelphia when a driver forgot to slow down. They adjusted signaling to improve safety.

It should definitely show on the HUD (F3, F4). Or, pay attention to scenery.
There is a difference in limits and locations between this old version and the newer NJCL, this one applies the 55 quite early.
I'm not entirely sure about timings but career may not have been a concern at that point. Possibly it's placed early for the exact reasons you said - so that HUDless players have a warning to slow down.

For the purposes of acing a career scenario, and learning, just use F3/F4 HUD. Afterwards, just focus on your own priorities - I had a short phase driving without the HUD, but I rather just enjoy the drive.
