    Information

The Q Line is a part of the New York City Subway. It runs between 96 St - 2 Av in Manhattan to Coney Island - Stillwell Av in Brooklyn.

Trains must stop at the ‘10’ or ‘S’ stop marker at the end of the station.

The Q Line is about 15 miles long and has 29 Stops during the day and 34 stops during late nights (12 AM - 5 AM). The Q Train runs Express in Manhattan and is always Local in Brooklyn.

This line runs in a mix of different environments such as, Open Cut, Elevated, And Underground, this line also goes across the Manhattan Bridge which leads to beautiful views of the city. It is based out of Coney Island Yard in Brooklyn.

The Q uses R46 and R68 subway cars. They run in 8 car formations (4+4). The conductor (Person who controls the doors) is always in the 5 car.

The Train Operator does not control the doors on this line. There should be a new mode introduced with this route (if made) to only be a conductor. The conductor is in the 5 car and must point at a Black and White striped board in the middle of the platform to show that they are paying attention and that the train is fully in the station. Conductors must look out of the window for 75 Ft while the train is departing the station.

It would be a treat for Railfans to see this route in TSW 2 as it has great views, multiple stations, and great rolling stock.

Hopefully not the R68A, the 68A has horrible brakes. Regular R68 is fine.

No, the R46/68 does not have automated announcements.

That’s usually the Regular R68 that has the Howling Motors.

Not bad. Future extension to 125th in East Harlem, soon. You should add additional stations along the Montague branch including city hall & court st.

The Q doesn’t normally run along the Montague branch since it runs across the Manhattan Bridge and goes through the DeKalb Av interlockings in order to run along the Brighton Line.

The 125 St extension is unlikely to be completed in the next 15 Years because everything takes mad long to construct in NYC .
