One of the nice things about Oakville was the way it would use rolling stock from your other north american DLCs, it added alot of variety to the stationary stuff parked around the route as well as manifest trains. I played Oakville for the first time in TSW4 today and am seeing only the rolling stock that came with Oakville, despite having Sand Patch, Horseshoe, Sherman Hill, Cajon Pass and the BNSF SD70 installed. Was this intentionally changed? Or does it not work with TSW4? DW
Considering it was a one-off thing for Oakville, I would not be surprised if they did not test it and it just broke. Many things broke in TSW4.
All substitution is gone on all routes! At least heavy broken. For example the cl.40 isnt spawing on ntp, except the specific double headed services because they are only possible with 40s. Also on german routes.
Doing some services on Oakville the last couple days I'm seeing the NS three bay hoppers all over the place now, I don't know if I missed them before or something has changed. Its the only piece of rolling stock I'm seeing from other routes. Was there ever any official comment about this? Was the change intentional? Unintentional? Do they plan to restore the previous level of substitution? DW
i ve been playing oakville a lot in past several days on x box series x and im getting lot of cars from my own livery s and other dlc s
my platform is x box series x ..ive played sherman hill NYT that 1 local freight run in full timetable ..sand patch etc the liveries been showing for me in those too some more than others
Must admit the last few times I've fired up the game I've noticed a bit more wagon selection with liveries that I have downloaded from the creation club. Thought they must have done a little magic somewhere at Dovetail Towers.....
I think the center beam cars were always part of Oakville, I've always seen the little two bay hoppers as well though I'm not sure if they came with the route or not. The issue is other than that, only the NS three bay hoppers are subbing in at the moment in TSW4. Currently in TSW4 : The way it was in TSW3 : Some of you are talking about custom liveries or creators club stuff, I've never used those so I don't know anything about that. I'm just talking about how the route used to give you quite the smorgasbord of rolling stock from the other routes you owned. DW
I took a look in TSW5 and alot of the substitution has been restored but not all. Stuff from Cajon Pass and it's SD70 add-on, Sherman Hill and Cane Creek are now showing up but the rolling stock from Sand Patch Grade (with the exception of the coal car from the C40-8W add-on) and Horseshoe Curve (with the exception of the 3 bay hopper) don't show up at all. So its good that they restored some of what disappeared with TSW4 but it would be nice if they added the rest of the NS and CSX stock back into the mix like TSW3. DW
