i would love to see same kind of upgrade to Oakville Subdivision that DTG to Sherman hill. new lighting and new sky and clouds. and since we have es44ac and sd70ace with few little exterior changes they could easy be add on to CN Route.

CN barely has 4 SD70ACe's, and those are SD70ACe-P6's, and since DTG didnt want to add the ISO cab to the BNSF SD70ACe, I doubt they would make the P6 models.

You may see the big locos around Hamilton and Bayview Junction, but you would never see any east of Burlington at all. Metrolinx bought the trackage from CN from Toronto to Burlington.

The Oakville Subdivision has a fictional timetable, the route is 95% passenger in reality with the GO Transit Lakeshore West line, the VIA Rail Toronto-Windsor trains, and the Amtrak Maple Leaf. You'd be quite lucky to see a freight train pass by you at Oakville today, and all that runs there are local trains, primarily using smaller locos like the GP9RM.

The whole route needs redoing anyways, the scenery is bland and inaccurate in many places, especially around Oakville and Burlington stations, where they modeled warehouses when it's supposed to be a residential town. A TODv4 upgrade wouldn't really help it.

CN's SD70M-2s are, externally, the same as SD70ACes, but they have DC traction motors. For CN locos, i'd also like an SD40-2W, GP40-2W, GP38-2W, ET44AC, SD75I/SD75ACC rebuild, SD70I, and C44-9W.

I would be game for accurate passenger service on this route, If only they could get licensing from Metrolinx (which at this point is a solid NO)

To upgrade this they need the following Caltrain baby bullet for Go Transit runs VIA Rail/Amtrak P42DC even better expand this all the way to the American side of the Border Niagara Falls New York State. The way you play the services towards Niagara Falls New York State you basically treat them like a Ruhr-Sieg Nord Hagen Vorhalle Siegen Rbf Kreuztal motive run which is split at Werdohl

Extension to Niagara isn’t worth it tbh. That line sees a few GO Trains a day, and the two Amtrak Maple Leaf trips (one south, one north). Toronto would be better. Even VIA Rail doesn’t serve Niagara Falls.

Regarding reusing the Caltrain stuff, it’s actually a major change to convert them to GO Transit Spec. The MP40PH has a lot of differences to the MP36PH, and the BiLevel coaches need major rework. The cabs are much different (even the older GO Transit cab cars have a different look to the Caltrain ones)

    Here’s the GO MP40PH cab:

    GO Old Cab Car Cab:

    The coaches:
Caltrain are series 5 coaches. GO has series 5 but only as accessibility 25xx cars, which means one per train. Also GO doesn’t have any BiLevels that have both the welded bodies and small door windows, unlike Caltrain. GO either has welded sides and big door windows, or riveted sides and small door windows. The interiors are much different too.

Helpful information but for the devs they were trying to use Caltrain baby bullet as a substitute for Mp40ph. The reason why I mentioned Niagara Falls because my 2nd route suggestion is an international one Straßburg Hbf (Strasbourg Ville) Appenweier and then Duisburg-Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway. Since my tendency is using international routes as ways to introduce new countries or link existing countries in game which is why I brought up Niagara Falls

Yeah it's fine if its a preservation crew project (which the Oakville Passenger Timetable is), but if DTG were to actually get a GO license and do something GO transit, just reskinning the current stuff isn't acceptable, despite them looking similar they're completely different.

Yeah still Niagara Falls wouldn't be a good choice with only a few trains there daily, and only two a day that crosses the border.

For an international route across the US-Canada border, the best thing I can think of is Amtrak Cascades.

Route really needs to go (no pun intended) from Toronto Union to Niagara.

i would have love them to add rail line to gershome/veever falls area why? cause that area where they film handyman corner stuff on the red green show. the red green show is Canadian comedy show filmed back in from 1991s to 2006s. one of my favorite tv shows.
