When adding virtual destinations to a train leaving through a portal, you pick destinations from a drop-down.

I assume the list of entries on this dropdown is pre-set for each route and we can't add any new entries when making scenarios or timetables for an existing route. Is that correct?

If that is the case, would it be possible to allow us to define new off-world destinations within scenarios and timetables created in the public editor? It's a small thing, but it can really add to the immersion...

You can add virtual destinations to the end of your last service instruction. Not sure if that's what your referring to

I'm aware of that. However, when I do that, I can't just type in any station name I want, but it only lets me choose from a list of pre-selected options. Haven't looked at any other routes, but for Dresden, this doesn't come close to covering all the places where trains go from Dresden or Riesa...

Arr okay I thought you just typed in a station name and ticked whether it was passenger destination or not

You can copy the RouteDefinition of the route you are working on to your own plugin and use that for the timetable. In the RouteDefinition you can add virtual destinations to this list, but I don't know whether this would work once transferred to the game outside of the editor or if that would cause problems regarding the route selection

Copying the route definition will essentually make a whole new icon for the route appear in the route list, which is probably not what you want. :)

Yeah, that does seem overkill. Is there any reason why we can't just set off-world destinations within a scenario or timetable?

I'll certainly put forward a request for that kind of functionality, having to update the core station directory for stations that are scenario-specific is... not ideal.

You can add your own destinations, you just need to edit StationDirectory asset.
