    First - The good news:
I spent some time playing TS2021 last night on the Euston to Birmingham Route.

99% of the time I was able to get stable 60FPS. It did drop to 20FPS once or twice.
I have done very little manual adjustments to the setup
    My Specs are:
    • AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Six Core 4.2GHz (Socket AM4) Processor
    • Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4
    • Seagate Firecuda 510 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2
    • Palit GeForce RTX 2060 StormX 6144MB GDDR6
    • Gigabyte G34WQC - 1440p ultrawide
    Now the bad news

I crashed out with an AI error from MK to Birmingham New Street. Frustrating

    Windows not transparent correctly

"99% of the time I was able to get stable 60FPS" You're the only person I've heard from who can. I don't mean to doubt you, but can we see video of that? Have you not seen the streams where people with high end systems are struggling to run it?

If there's something unique about your system, we need to know what it is. Send a DXDiag log to DTG so they can see what it is about your system that no one else's has.

    I've just checked again.
I was using the FPS counter on my monitor and this as giving me 60FPS, but turning on the Steam FPS - yes 13-16FPS!

    Wow

Sorry - new to all this FPS counting - I maybe 40 - but never to old to learn something new!

Shift + z in-game to turn on the fps counter.

That will be showing you your monitor's refresh rate - that will not change. It will say 60fps even if you're looking at a still image.

It does fluctuate - but yeah - it does not relate to the game FPS

    It shouldn't, unless it's a GSync monitor.

After watching the stream I felt sorry for Sam it really did not go well for him. I was worried that when I had a chance to give it a go it would be the same for me.

But I gave it a try last night and I was mildly impressed I never experienced any of the issues Sam ran into on the stream. I had pretty steady good frame rates through the entire run. I had some small drops a couple of times, but nothing as major as what Sam encountered when he played it.

The was one thing I did encounter a the beginning of the route after leaving the station there was a bit of a missing tunnel. Other than that I rather enjoyed the new route.

Then that is why it was still showing 60fps despite your game being a lot lower. GSync only matches the monitor frame rate upwards to prevent screen tearing. A higher refresh rate than your GPU's frame rate is not a problem. It only matches up.. not down... no one wants a monitor refresh rate of 15Hz... people woudl be having seizures :)
