Mines would have to be the Zelda games on Gameboy. Those games were my childhood and they just never ever got boring for me as a kid. The soundtrack. The unlocks and upgrades, The map and all the hidden secrets. It was so perfect. :’)

    Zelda Links awakening
Zelda Oracle of Ages and Seasons.

I also couldn’t stop playing Red Dead Redemption back in the 360 / PS3 days. Played it for years on end and never ever got bored of it. Again. Just a beautiful open world and unforgettable soundtrack. I’ll remember it forever.

I’d love to hear other peoples games they loved from years ago that they couldn’t stop playing. Even if it’s from Last gen you can still post :)

Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 and 3, Lemmings and Desert Strike on the Amiga.
Micro Machines 2, Super Skidmarks and Sonic on Megadrive.
Colin McRae Rally, Gran Turismo, F1 97 and Driver for PS1.
Timesplitters 1, 2 and 3, Gran Turismo games, Buzz (quiz games), GTA 3, GTA VC, GTA SA on PS2.
GTA IV, GTA V, Uncharted 1, 2 and 3, Driver: San Fran and Star Trek (based on the 2009 JJ Abrams film) for PS3.
    Goldeneye on N64.

There are more but that would mean checking through my game collections.

Oh my god how good was Desert Strike. Loved that game too. It was hard haha but I was like 9 or something when I played that. A lot of fun. I’m sure it was the Sega Genesis I had it on.

Yes, it was quite difficult. I think I was about 7 or 8 when I played it on Amiga (although level 2 would never load due to fatal disc error). It was also available on Sega systems in the 90s.

4 was really good and a great ending to the Drake story. Then there was Lost Legacy too with the 2 females.
I didn't put 4 on my list as the PS4 is still relatively modern by comparison to other systems on here.

All of my older Need For Speed games, From Need for Speed Undercover to Need for Speed rivals.
Crash Time 3... or for most Germans, Alarm für Cobra 11.
GTA IV and V for the Xbox 360.
    Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition.
    The Orange Box.

That is currently all I have left. All of those, a very much core memory games.

Really, really old games going back to the Amiga days would have to admit to Lemmings 2 (The Tribes) and F16 Combat Pilot being my most played. Then Gunship 2000.

Early PC days, the Wing Commander series, in fact WC III with its FMV story telling was what made me switch from the Amiga to the PC. Frontier Elite II also racked up a fair bit of gameplay. Tornado, where it took longer to plan the mission than fly it! Command and Conquer which pleased and frustrated in equal measure, until discovering you could sandbag up to the enemy base, trap them inside and pound them to dust with artillery.

Moving towards the late 90’s most of the Jane’s combat sims but particularly Longbow 2, which was the pinnacle of the 3dFX Voodoo card, before the GeForce revolution. The X series up to Terran Conflict absorbed vast amounts of my time which takes us into the 00’s where I discovered the delights of GTA San Andreas. More contemporary, the Mass Effect series including a few years ago a back to back playthrough from the start of ME1 to the end of ME3. Awesome.

hm, I seem to return to Darksiders games every so often, recently finished all three on hardest difficulty except permadeath one (dont remember which difficulty setting I had done Genesis on)... also playing DOOM Eternal campaign again :D

cant wait for Soul Reaver 1 and 2 remasters, used to play second one to death in the past :D
