I know this has been talked about before and I know there's the issues with copyright, but I really think it's the biggest thing missing from playing passenger maps (I'm talking about UK routes btw). We've got the dot matrix displays now on platforms which look great. Even if the real voices cant be licensed, they could easily be recorded and added in. (I also know some people find them annoying so a setting to turn them on and off would be wise.)
I agree and for Bakerloo Line this is Emma Clarke. If you play German Routes the train announcements themselves are exactly the same on the Dostos 612 425 423 S-Bahn Köln & 442s Red and Silver versions being Ingo Ruff. Here's his voice for HRR & SKA Dosto service However Hauptstrecke München-Augsburg 423 has a different announcer Regina Wallner
ScotRail have already released their anouncements to the public, so it shouldn't be too hard to implement them. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/172W6sXnvlr7UcNLipO8BTw417_KRz9c5
I didn't see this post. Said the same thing in another. There's a game my kid plays on roblox, scr and it has both train and platform announcements in real time! If a trains late or cancelled it will be announced and displayed on pis! Can't understand why dtg can't do the same. As for all the different languages. In the UK the announcements are in English only, guess this is the same in Germany, France and America etc...
You are correct for the existing German routes in game they would sound the same because of Ingo Ruff. The exceptions are Hauptstrecke München Augsburg DB Baureihe 423 Regina Wallner DB Baureihe 427 Ruhr Sieg Nord proper name for it is Bahnstrecke Hagen Finnentrop Siegen Helga Bayertz. Long Island Railroad & Metro-North uses Bernie Waghenblast as the announcer. Future US Route NJ Transit Sarah Weaver.
I agree, I wasted hours trying to setup P.A systems on some of my passenger routes until I realized it wasn't going to happen.
There is a program for announcements: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...ities/i2903-tsw3-python-announcements-program, but it runs externally to TSW and I couldnt set it up as it's a faff.
