After the Roadmap stream on Tuesday I think it's only right that I put some suggestions in here. Not asking for a new route, They asked about how they can improve) So I thought it would be worth my time to give some suggestions towards how they can rework / fix the game so that we can all enjoy TSW2 and I hope you guys will agree with some of the points I'll make here. (Lots of people have agreed in the Facebook community page aswell) 1: I cannot stress this enough. Please. Rework the Class 37... The sounds are laughable at this point based upon the success of Armstrong powerhouses Class 37 projects. I have put a Video in the Facebook community group with my own sounds (Here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/208763479804520/permalink/957444481603079/) (Recorded during an Event with 37032) (I know it's a /0, but It already sounds better than what they produced. I even recorded it on a phone!) The Physics / Amps are about as realistic as a positive response to this construcive criticism. (The Field divert kicks in at 34mph. 34MPH. That's the same scripting as the Class 66!! Now if you know any knowledge based on BR locos, depending on which one. The first Field divert is located around 24/29mph. That's embarrassing. What's more embarrassing is that I paid for this DLC. 2: The outstanding issue of Livery designers. Some of us creative players have been waiting for Livery designer capabilities since 2020. It's beyond ridiculous. We all have ideas based on Class 31 and the Class 20 from TVL which we have been patiently waiting for, with no updates based on when this is happening and roadmaps stating is "Coming soon." That was a lie. Tees Valley preserved Crew is finished apparently! And we're forced to stick with these liveries until the route gets updated in around a year. With a whole new rework of adding 2 trees and a new building in Middlesbrough. I can't be the only one who is frustrated about this surely? 3: The treatment of West Somerset Railway. Now before I begin on this one, it's being updated. Great! But not in the way we thought. We thought that when Steam would be added it would be placed on WSR as promised, a few streams ago with spirit of steam they said they have no intentions of putting steam on WSR for atleast a long time. Do I have to say more? The route hasn't had a proper update in years, it's getting game dust. People ignore it, I've seen people say it's a slow and boring route, I would deffo agree with that aspect. But it's probably the best looking route in the game. The route is outdated with unrealistic trackjoint sounds and outdated sounds for the green Class 47. The Straight / Loco brake for the green Class 47 is almost like an insta-brake and it's beyond unplayable sometimes. 4: The Class 313 Spring glitch. Not Spring as in the season, the unit springs into the air at random moments and that can be very frustrating when your very close to the end of a timetable scenario. It only happens on the Class 313, nothing else. It's a glitch that's amusing but also game breaking. I hope I don't create chaos in the comments, these are issues that bother me and more than likely loads of others.
For me, I would like to see the following items remedied... Rework AP scoring on various routes/services so that Gold medals are finally achievable. Get together with Rivet and Sony to finally figure out trophy issues with Isle of Wight route (complete all scenarios trophy will not unlock). Find a fix for various London Commuter scenarios and services that are currently unable to be completed due to derailed trains, red signals and badly placed objective markers. These are the biggest impact on my personal experience of the game.
WSR was updated last year to include layers. I reckon steam will be added as WSR is a heritage line. However, the implications of replicating steam in all its glory has been a pain as DTG have said. I mean, would you rather an unfinished, buggy loco that ruins WSR or would you rather it work and look as awesome as it does in my mind
