I think it would be great for TSW5 to have more Canadian DLCs, being as there's only one at the moment and it is Canadian National i think they should do a short line that is involved with Canadian Pacific. This short line is called Ontario Southland Railway OSR for short and they run from Tilsonburg Ontario, to Ingersoll Ontario, and from St.Thomas Ontario to Woodstock Ontario, not a very long line but they have about 25 to 30 industries on the line. They do work in the Canadian Pacific yard in Woodstock and work in the Canadian National yard in Tilsonburg. They normally start at 8:00am and finish at 4:00pm. They operate out of Salford Ontario and they operate the hole line from their because that's where they have their locomotive shops. They have a massive fleet of locomotives mostly built in the 50s and 60s. OSR has 4 RS23s, 4 GP9u's, 102 the last GP9 ever built, 175 a GP9 high hood, 3 RS18u's, Alco S6, 2 FP9a's, 4 SW1200RSu's, and a snow plow. Not all locomotives need to be modeled but they got a lot to choose from. So I think OSR would be a great short line for TSW5 to model.

to be honest, I would rather finally see Canadian passenger rail... like one of Toronto Go Transit lines, with MP40PH or MP54

I would rather Cp Cartier sub, because the buds rdc’s are there and there’s all sorts of freight ranging from fast to local and unit trains from Levac. OSR would still be very sharp, heck anything Canadian would be a first day buy.

The one and only Canadian DLC, the Oakville Subdivision, could use some expansion packs, such as:
    1. Extending the main line from Oakville to Toronto Union Station.
    2. The CPKC Hamilton Subdivision connects with the Oakville Sub at the High Level bridge just west of the Hamilton yard. It is the ex-TH&B Railway and includes the Aberdeen yard in the west end, and Kinnear yard in the east. From Kinnear yard it serves the industrial area (from the Oakville Sub map) from the belt line. CP Rail would use trackage rights on the CN Oakville Sub to reach east of Oakville. They also have a single track line that winds up the Niagara Escarpment through Watertown, ON to Guelph Junction.
    3. Also from the Oakville Sub, CN has access to the Dundas Sub that runs west to London, ON. Access from Hamilton is via a single track (west leg of wye) eastbound, and the double track main eastbound from Aldershot (east leg of the wye). This line climbs the Niagara Escarpment through Capetown, Brantford and Paris (by trestle over the Grand River) and a few more locations before reaching London, ON. Of interest, London was once the home of EMD's Canadian subsidiary General Motors Diesel Division (GMDD), so some possible switching in that industry, as they built engines for railroad companies around the world.
    4. It would also be nice to get a HiRail vehicle to use while exploring any/all of the routes available in the game, collecting rewards and such.

So, there's my suggestions to help garner interest to all the Canadian fans of TSW.

The fly in the ointment is whether DTG have or could obtain a VIA Rail licence. Fairly certain in the dim and distant past I read they had declined a request.

Via rail is the problem rn with that, they don’t want to give out a licence for some reason. But hey via rail is owned by the Canadian government so it was really the governments decision to deny a licence. (Look at our government go eh)
