The Metrolink Bombardier Cab cars in the older livery should be operable as fully functioning cab cars, similar to the Cal Train baby bullet trains. For 20 years this is how Metrolink operated pre Rotum cars. Can you make this an optional feature?
Probably will never happen. I'd also like that to happen but for now I guess we just need to use a Caltrain one as a substitute. Still sucks why DTG didn't want to do it yet alone not even doing the original Metrolink livery. Since I am under the assumption the Metrolink Bombardier cars are just simple reskins of the Caltrain ones. To make the cab car theoretically all DTG would need to do is reskin and slightly alter the model for the cab by swapping the horns and changing the ditchlights to the original incandescent ones instead of the bodgy Caltrain retrofit LED units. If DTG ever were to do it then I think they would bundle them as part of a "retro" DLC with a period loco, which I would hope for an F59PH.
Unless metrolink requested them not to create the cab car and didn't give them access. Some operators while helpful might be very particular about how it's depicted
