I suggest having a slider in the ingame Options menu to adjust the intensity of the headlight beam. Most US Loco headlights are way too bright in daytime and just like adjusting Ambient light ingame, this would come in very handy and is required for better realism.
Agreed. And/or a normalisation - which is a similar topic to couplers The Donner Pass GP9 lights are extremely powerful, it's kind of funny and unique when you see a night mountainside lighting up as a train is approaching. But the slider is a good idea anyway, maybe even as a new optional (xml) property for the trains - LED vs traditional.
Run8 V2 has this feature applying to both headlights and cablight, even though all rolling stock is released by the game developer and is consistent anyway. In TS each developer basically makes their own couplers, lights, brakes, scripts. I hope there is technically a way for TS to "grab" these ControlValues and modify them ingame. I'm a bit pessimistic though.
