I'm sure there are a lot of players who like playing with all the safety systems for the realism (myself included) and it bothers me to have to switch them on every time (I am aware it is a simple Ctrl+Enter Shift+Enter but it still breaks the immersion just that little bit, especially when changing ends). In real life they're always enabled in normal service (excluding testing and whatnot like the SKW top speed scenario, but in those cases we can just switch them off manually) so it would make sense to introduce a toggle in settings to start all services with those systems enabled as they would be IRL. Maybe it can be contained within the same Expert Mode option, maybe it's a separate thing, either way it would save that little bit of time and add the extra realism.
Especially if you are taking over a train in service at an intermediate point, the driver being relieved would have left the cab "live" not with all the safety systems shut down.
agreed... it is so relieving to have this in LIRR 2.0... tho PZB data entry in 101 Expert is super engaging
Maybe they could make it with standard mode or expert mode. I would imagine new players getting stuck if all safety systems are enabled default.
This is the kind of implementation I think would be best, absolutely keep them off by default as the game is now but it would be nice to have that as an option to be enabled. Maybe integrate it into the beginner/standard/expert selection when making a profile, have that setting enabled with the expert preset.
