With the release of the TGV route for TSW2, I've been playing the extended route for TS2021 as it's quite interesting comparing both (also TSW2 has helped me learn more of the KVB/VACMA and change over procedure etc.) and with that I find in TSW2 I use the mouse to move the camera and grab the handles, flip the switched and push the buttons etc. rather than just relying on the keyboard controls.

I then do this in Train Simulator and find having to hold the right mouse button, plus the "easing" that is added to the camera where it has the effect of sliding smoothly, kinda make this feel clunky.

What would be amazing is if an option could be added to a future release of Train Simulator where you could change the mouse camera mode to replicate that of TSW2, where moving the mouse moves the camera (without the easing that is currently in place) and right clicking freezes the camera in place and brings up the mouse cursor. This could also extend to the outside cab cameras too and think this could create a much smoother and immersive Train Simulator experience.

I'm interested to hear what other people think to this idea so please share below!

    Thanks!

Can you not just move you view by simply click/hold LMB and dragging with your mouse?
Then zoom in or out by rolling the mouse
It stays in the position until you push a different camera button

Never really crossed my mind. When I'm driving the only controls I use are accelerator and brakes, and then when stopped it's mainly doors and DRAl
