    Hi all,
I've put a few hours into researching this and i have also tried searching the forum for existing discussions/answers.
I would like to create my own route of a branch line that was closed in 1964, i am aware that the current version of Train Simulator can use Google maps as an overlay in the world creator, unfortunately the current Google mapping is too modern and almost useless to me.
I have purchased and downloaded several 1955 1/km2 25"/mile scale Ordnance survey maps from the National Library of Scotland website, these are saved as JPGs and are the most detailed maps of the route available, they show in fine detail Mile posts, Signal posts, stations as well as very detailed and clear plotting of all lines and roads (see low res screenshot).
Years ago there was a program called RWdecal which worked with Google Earth, sadly this has been discontinued as it was essentially superseded by the current setup. I would like to essentially import these map images as overlays in the world editor for use as "Hornby track mats" if you like, especially as they are more than fit for purpose for plotting everything and then dealing with scenic texturing separately, or using the Google maps overlay to assist for the most part. Can anything be done to achieve this? Screenshot 2022-04-24 153612.jpg
