Have noticed twice in a row that when operating the first passenger service of the day on the Overground from Euston to Watford that the train loses all power and comes to a halt in the long tunnel before South Hampstead station. Have done resets to the train such as turning the power off and on and checking the pantograph is up but the train does not move at all.
The Watford DC line runs on third rail DC power. As the overhead lines leading up to Euston end at the opening of that tunnel you'll need to make sure that the pantograph is down and the contact shows are down and are taking power from the rail before continuing past that point. I assume that this issue only arises with the early services as they move from depot to Euston on AC power, whilst most other services are already on DC at the point of spawning at Euston. The tracks used by Overground services at Euston are all fitted with third rail so there doesn't need to be any power changeover at any point in the line. Hope that this helps.
All sorted, Many thanks for your help on this, Martin. Turns out I had forgot to put the shoes down and for someone whose driven plenty on the SEHS line on the game, is should be ashamed of myself lol!
