Hi Everyone, After a bit of a break from route building (my last route (GNoSR Lines) was about 8 years ago in TS Classic!) I have caught the bug again and made a start on something in the TSW Editor. I had no interest in TSW really until the editor was released last year since that's what I enjoy most, and I must say the editor is powerful but not quite as user friendly as I'm used to... Anyway, I have decided to create my first real-life location, which is a departure from the freedom of purely fictional routes on TSC, and I settled on the Windermere Branch. Why? I have no real personal connection with the route (although I have alighted at Oxenholme a few times) but knowing that I wanted to set the era as 50/60s, and that the only available steam locos would be LMS origin, I thought that the relatively short Windermere Branch would be a good first attempt. The branch runs from the WCML at Oxenholme to a terminus at Windermere, passing through Kendal and Stanley. At the time, this was a double track line which has since been downgraded, which is convenient for running the larger LMS locos. I was disappointed to hear that there are no official plans for steam locomotives in TSW going forward, but I guess there is no reason the route couldn't also pass for 1970s with blue diesels. I have neither the time nor skills to do it properly and create the distinctive buildings and landmarks, so I have been making do and getting inventive with the assets I have. So far I have mostly completed Oxenholme station and working my way to Kendal. Luckily this is mostly rural farmland and woodland which makes things easier, but it still takes an age! I expect progress will be slow and sporadic, but I thought I'd share some initial clips. I intend to share the route to whoever would be interested once it is in a more progressed state (subject to Dovetail's user agreement, terms and conditions etc of course) Thanks, medion694
