this may be the best time i have had with any passenger service ever today on my run from Preston to Carlisle. It makes me wonder about a train north from Inverness to my ancestral Brora and beyond ... Maybe someone will start at Chester to slowly build out those 4 lines ... that would be fine, too. Or just a class 90 on a wee track extending Manchester to Preston. As long as it is done this well.
