About The Oxted Line is a railway line in southern England. It runs from the Brighton Main Line at South Croydon in Greater London to Hurst Green Junction in Surrey, where its two branches diverge. The western branch continues via Lingfield to East Grinstead in West Sussex, whereas the eastern branch runs via Edenbridge Town in Kent to Uckfield in East Sussex. The line is named after the town of Oxted in Surrey and also serves parts of the London Borough of Croydon. The line length is 42 mi 79 ch (69.2 km). Even broken records are going to get annoyed at me repeating myself. Steam isn't even in the dining room let alone on the table. However, I would like to see a 1970s/80s Southern route though with slamdoor stock and possibly even the class 50
I am aware of the situation with steam and am under the old belief that if you don't ask you don't get, i would be equally happy with 1963 or 1970s era
