    • Route Overview/Details
The Pacific Surfliner is a route that is located in California and is run by Amtrak. The route spans about 112 miles between Los Angeles Union Station and San Diego, and has 11 total stations. The entire trip from Los Angeles to San Diego takes about 2 hours and 56 minutes, and the route has an average speed of 41 miles per hour with the max speed being 79mph to 90 mph. There are a total of 10 round trips a day between Los Angeles and San Diego, with four trips running north of Los Angeles, two running all the way to San Luis Obispo, and two running to Goleta. Below I've put two pictures of the route and stations as well as a video review of the trip.

    • Rolling Stock
For rolling stock, the route would come with Amtrak's SC-44, the Bilevel Surfliner cab car, and the bilevel Surfliner coaches. 49671591346_f38f8f8821_b.jpg

    • Layering in other trains

Metro link also runs on this part of the route from Union station to oceanside station, so with the upcoming TSW 4 route that can be layered in to this route. There are no freight services from what I can see, but there are coaster services from the Santa Fe Depot to Oceanside.

They should also add the F59PHI locomotives as a separate add-on

BNSF has some freight operations on the Surfliner Route as well. Mostly locals and some intermodal trains. Also, the F59PHIs and Genesis P42DCs as DLCs.

If that's the case then I'm pretty sure they would layer on the locomotives and rolling stock from Cajon Pass. Which makes sense since San Bernardino has an intermodal facility as well. Though I think a BNSF Dash 9 or ES44DC would be a nice touch as well

BNSF is the main freight network and up runs freight from Los Angeles and Orange County

We got this in TSC... but in TSW it could really shine with the ocean and beaches. I would love to see this one, if it´s made well and with care.

As I stated in my own Pacific Surfliner suggestion, I think its best that DTG split the Pacific Surfliner into 2 parts for the LA to San Diego section. With Oceanside being the common station.

DTG: Sorry, I don’t take such a long route, next one.
