Lenght: 106km (Paderborn-Kassel Wilhelmshöhe) 110km (Paderborn-Kassel Central Station) Why this route? It is a beautiful route through the Eggegebirge mountains. It is a very important connection within Germany. There is a lot of traffic, especially freight traffic, but a few important ICEs and ICs also run on the route. The route is just over 100 km long, depending on whether you are travelling from Paderborn to Kassel Central Station or Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe Both Stations included would be really great, but Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe would be more important. My suggestion for the time period in which the route is located would be between 1991 and 2002. The reason for this is the old route, which is much more interesting than the tunnel. As it is and was an important route, there is also a lot of reference material available. It´s similar to Salzburg-Rosenheim,Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn and Stuttgart-Heilbronn. It takes an Interregio about an Hour to complete this Route. Some turn at Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe with that it takes 1h20min to complete this Route. Highlight is the Viadukt in Altenbeken. As a Mastery Reward the Br 44 in Altenbeken What runs and what would be new? As an example for the year 1992: New: 103 in Orient Red and the Interregio carriages. An Interregio hedding to Altenbeken Not new but important for the add-on: 110 (Lfr) + Mintlinge with DB Keks. 140 in green + freight wagons. These vehicles can cover 90% of the timetable. Additional layers would be: Regional trains 218 with Silberlingen (218 and Mittenwaldbahn) 628 (Niddertalbahn) D trains 110 with ABm and Bm carriages from the Neckartalbahn 111 with Mintlingen (Left Rhine line and Mittenwaldbahn)
