We’ve already seen what the passengers are like in TSW as is (empty trains, trains going to the depot full of people, getting stuck on bridges, falling out of trains, walking on the track).
And now already in TSW5 we saw an empty train leaving Milton Keynes rendering conductor mode useless, and passengers getting stuck in the doorway on San Bernardino.

All of these issues are only going to be amplified and seen more often with the advent of conductor mode. I just think an improvement to passengers should have come before this.
Not to mention, what on earth went so wrong with Rush Hour and why wasn’t it addressed?

True. Conductor mode will amplify passenger behaviour. Passengers now need a huge update. Just like on the platforms they should have something to do. Instead of looking zombie like They should also make sounds. Some should play music too loud in headphones so you can reprimand them. :D

100% agree with this. Completely ridiculous to add this mode with passengers as they are.

The passengers for me are the biggest immersion breaker in the game. Strangely they seem more buggy on modern routes too.

Without any passengers, then you don't need to control anybody so you can chill at home earlier ;)

If you run freight, there's no passengers.
    It's a simple, quiet job ;-)

Fully agree. Passengers are so broken and beyond overdue for a fix

Passengers should have been improved years ago, but we would never have had conductor mode if we had waited, simply because it’s highly unlikely they will ever be “fixed”.

I stay in the cab to avoid any interaction with the passengers, but seeing them on depot moves or waiting around on the platform when you're driving the last service is annoying.
Also picking up an empty Azuma at Peterborough when it started at Kings Cross is bizarre.
Also the 313 on coastway when you open the doors at Seaford (starting the service there) and everyone piles off. Why?

This is a issue on several TSW routes. You start a service and everyone gets off. It's not realistic at all

313s seem to be 300% packed upon spawning, you'll realize the train is still full after those people get off

Agreed, they look less alien like now then they did a couple of years ago but they are still incredible strange. On a slightly related note what happened to all the passenger dioramas?

San Bernandino has a nice range of passengers doing stuff on the platforms. On that route passengers start to behave like real passengers. But once they board it's the same old poses.
