In TSC, I always really liked how you could hop into the passenger cabin for a quick couple of secounds to enjoy the drive from a passenger's perspective. Well, some older coaches had this feature, but the cabin modeling and texturing was... well... horrible.

Now, TSW has some of the greatest passenger cabins with superb modeling and texturing. Every small sticker is modelled, ther even is some interactive bits in some coaches. Ad with conductor mode, being in them finally has a purpose! Well, that's for the few select services that have conductor mode. On something like a class 43 or ICE T, where you can spend up to an hour or more without stopping, you only get in the passenger cabin a few times at best, and probably you woudn't play conductor mode in those trains. To ensure that the superb cabins would not go to waste, why not add a feature to get in them while driving a train, like you can exit the camera to an external position.

While having the ability to walk around would be nice, I think it would be enough to just be able to get in a passenger seat and maybe switch between them with something like the arrow keys.

Hopefully this makes it into the game (and if you hope for that too, press the like button, if not, feel free to share why :) )

I like to switch views as you described in TSC, but in TSW, it's a fundamental principle of the game that would be questioned : either you drive, or you're a passenger...
Still, I agree with you that it would be cool, sometimes, to have a quick look from a passenger perspective.
Why not a shortcut key to give the control to the AI for a short time, to take it back as soon as we want ?
Seems to me that it would be useful in other circumstances as well...

    You can drive.
    You can be a passenger.
You can get out of your seat (either way) and walk around.
You can set the camera to see from anywhere around the train.
I don't see this being all that useful.

I will repeat what I said in that other linked thread.

Tell that to MSTS (Microsoft Train Simulator) and as well as to OR (Open Rails).

    Program MSTS, REF https://www.irfca.org/docs/msts-tips.htm

    Program OR, REFs #1 https://static.openrails.org/files/OpenRails-Testing-Manual.pdf #2 https://static.openrails.org/files/Keyboard_Layout_DE_V1.3.1e.pdf #3 https://coalstonewcastle.com.au/downloads/physics/or_camera_controls_v4.pdf

In the English offical manual / user's guide for program OR (the first link), found in Container management at 9.5 Multiple passenger viewpoints. Page 220 out of 450.

That didn't in any way respond to what I said, but okay.... glad you felt useful.

I rather think that this idea is that when you are driving the train you don't have to go out of your cabin to get the view into the train compartment via the button.
and otherwise I don't even understand anything
if you don't think what I say is correct

Agree with some of the points raised.
TSC's passenger view is a nice additional feature because you are unable to get out of the cab and walk around. It adds a different dimension but can usually only be used momentarily because of driver warnings.
TSW offers a full 3D perspective for drivers and/or passengers so I don't really see what adding a passenger view when you're driving brings to the game. There are many other features players would like in TSW, this one is probably well down the wish list.
