Tsw3 has a lack of rapid transit routes, the only subway in the game is the bakerloo line. I think the path train would be a great route and easier then most other subway systems. The path train (port authority trans Hudson) is a rapid transit line linking Newark Penn station, Jersey City and Hoboken station with 33rd street. The line is 13.8 miles long or 22.2 kilometer long line. The line features 13 stations and a branch to the world trade center. The rail alignment out of Newark Penn follows the northeast corridor to exchange place where the world trade center branch starts. The main line branchs up to Hoboken terminal, Then it runs under the Hudson river to Christopher street where it turns and runs along the b,d, and f trains to 33rd street.
    Equipment

    • The path trains are operated by 350 pa5 trains. The pa5 train is a rapid transit emu that can be expanded to meet demand. Under current service they run in eight car trains. The trains can fit 35 people in each car not accounting standees. The cars can reach 55 mph.[IMG]
    • Lines
    • There are 4 path lines, they are
    • Journal square - 33rd street via Hoboken. This line is 5.5 miles long and serves 8 stations
    • Newark - WTC. This line 8.9 miles long and serves 6 stations
    • Hoboken - WTC. This line is 3 miles long and serves 4 stations
    • Hoboken - 33rd street. This line is 3.5 miles long and serves 6 stations
      [IMG]
The path system runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It handles 151,200 people a day.

The path system has 13 stations. They are in order
    • Newark Penn. Newark Penn is a heavy rail station served by the Newark - WTC line. It has 24 hour service
    • Harrison. Harrison is a station on the Newark - WTC line. It has 24 hour service and is adjacent to the northeast corridor.

    • Grove Street. Grove Street is a station served by the Newark - WTC line, And the journal Square - 33rd line. It has 24 hour service. It is underground.
    • Exchange Place. Exchange Place is the last stop before World trade center station. It connects the Newark - WTC line, and the Hoboken - WTC line. It has 24 hour service.
    • World trade center. WTC is the terminus station for the Newark - WTC line, and the Hoboken - WTC line. It has 24 hour service. It also connects with the NYC subway.
    • Newport. Newport station is Served by the Hoboken - WTC line, and the Journal Square - 33rd line.
    • Hoboken Terminal. Hoboken is the last station in new Jersey. It Is the terminus station for the Hoboken - WTC line and the Hoboken - 33rd line. It is also Served by the Journal Square - 33rd line. It is a major Njt commuter rail station.

    • 14th Street. 14th Street is a transfer station between the 6th avenue line and the path train. The path train runs down the middle of the 6th avenue line. There is also a hallway to facilitate transfers to the Broadway line.
    • 23rd street. 23rd street is the second to last station. It is Served by the Journal Square - 33rd line, band the Hoboken - 33rd line. It is in the middle of the 6th avenue line facilitating transfers.

Route is a hybrid of Bakerloo line Journal Square to 34th St Herald Square & World Trade Center via Hoboken and Exchange Place stations Newark to Journal Square is your Harlem Line section 70 mph max.
Retro trains PA1-4. These days PA-4 are work trains.
Towards Journal Square from 34th Street Harold Square during the late nights/weekend you actually stop in Hoboken Grove Street is transfer point between Journal Square 2 34th Street Herald Square via Hoboken and World Trade Center to Newark trains to make up for the green line not running.
    Speaking of this
There is actually a transfer to the Broadway 7th Avenue line at 14th Street it's a block long passageway between them. On Broadway 7th Ave line 1 2 & 3 trains you are going to hear connection is available to PATH train when they stop at 14th Street

Spot on and weekends and late nights Green line doesn't run instead you have NWK WTC Red line and the combined Yellow and Blue Lines which is the JSQ to 34th Herald Square Path platforms via Hoboken Terminal. PA-5s display is HOB/33 from Journal Square while back to Journal Square it's HOB/JSQ

With new rolling stock coming to train sim like the f125, I hope we will see PATH in train sim world. It's new and fresh to the train sim series

Bumping this. The entire system, to be frank would make a great dlc. Espically with the rolling stocks uniqueness. PATH technically is a railroad which leads to many quirks in the system, despite being rapid transit/subway in function

Oh most certainly! I was just too lazy to make a whole new post for five but yeah. I would love to see Path implemented with like all of its safety systems and everything and possibly just the full system considering it's relatively small

By the way this is actually regulated by the Federal Railroad Administration therefore positive train control is actually activated here combined with cbtc. Because the rule in the United States if it's operated by the Federal Railroad Administration jurisdiction it must have positive train control fitted.
I have a picture of a PA5 here and it's my own work which I took on January 20th 2025
20250120_174357.jpg this one has an advertisement.
For the development team they must keep this in mind photography needs permission
