The Paxman Valenta was developed in the early 1970s for British Rail with the aim of using in both freight and passenger locomotives. However the engine was only used in the two pre-production Class 41 and 197 production Class 43 powercars. My suggestion is for the class 43, i’d love for a paxman sound pack to be added to train sim world as a wonderful homage to legendary trains. Also a lovely throwback gner livery would be nice ;) .

I really wanted this in the Intercity swallow livery for West Cornwall Local.

It wouldn't just be a sound pack... the Valenta would have different physics and maybe different controls (I thought the old engine had eight notches of power as opposed to 5 for example)

Bring it on and this fits WCL because of the 1990s setting

HSTs always had 5 power notches.
The cab would be slightly different, slightly less ‘modern’ so less colourful buttons etc.

Driving style different also, drivers were not supposed to take notch 5 until the rear power car was clear of a station when departing because of the noise.

Your right ARuscoe. In these images the TSW 43 and the Valenta 43 cab look completely different.

A DLC I could imagine being added cuz its 43 we have with a few tweaks.

This would be great for WCL (better than seeing a class 40 with mark 2's). However I think it would probably be something included with a route (which then could be layered onto WCL).

I imagine the Riviera is bound to come to TSW at some point.

I'm pretty sure that the Valenta 43 cab is the one used on the AP Class 43 for TSC.
