Game Update Pc Editor Improvements - Coming With Train Sim World 5

Hello everyone,

We’ve loved seeing the incredible projects and creations from the community as they’ve gotten their hands on the PC Editor since its beta release in Train Sim World 4, creating new routes, modelling brand-new locomotives and creating complex features (including a sophisticated system for simulating car traffic!)

We’ve also been able to welcome a whole suite of new third-party partners into TSW because of these tools, which has been an amazing way for us to continue delivering a wider range of diverse content to all our players.

Alongside the upcoming launch of TSW5, we’ve made some improvements to the TSW5 PC Editor, which includes the key fixes we wanted to address:

• Ability to package .pak files for distribution (cooking/packing)
• Fixes for landscape material usage
• Improvements to Asset loading (Rediscovery of files when re-loading the Editor)

Additionally, we’ve introduced some core changes to TSW5 itself that will better support the loading of mods. Please let us know your feedback and if you’re experiencing any issues after the release of Train Sim World 5 so we can support the editor and modding community as much as possible.

Please note, these changes listed above will be implemented on the Train Sim World 5 version of the PC Editor in time for the release on September 17th. If you’ve currently been using the TSW4 PC Editor, you will be able to upgrade and receive these improvements via the TSW5 Free Starter Pack for no additional cost before October 17th.
