Hi everyone. I've posted this in the support section but figured more of you would be in here too. I had to do a BIOS update on my PC today. I did this with Dell on the phone as it wasn't working using their software. I've come to use Train sim later today, can get to the title screen, as soon as I boot up into the game I get the attached crash. This has happened on about 10 occasions now. Physically cant get it to run I have uninstalled and reinstalled and also tried the rebook approach. Any ideas?
Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to avoid that update. Have you tried verifying your game files on Steam?
BIOS updates are rare for most people unlike Windows updates. Have you logged a ticket for it since unless somebody has exactly the same BIOS / motherboard as you their results may vary from yours?
I think I’ve solved it. I was originally using Alienware 1.0.3 for my R11 and updated to 1.0.4. I started with an uninstall which didn’t work, removed a SEHS mod I had and tried backtracking through changes I’d made. I then changed it so it was no longer bottling under Dx12. I’m not sure if the bios update made it get angry with tsw in dx12 but it’s solved the issue for me. I don’t know whether the recent update factored to be fair but it’s unlikely
