There has been noted on TSW Roadmap that the Peak Forest Railway will have an expansion pack. But I'm not sure what's included. It may appear on the May Roadmap.

    Here's my predictions:
Extended to Manchester Central & Derby
    Class 251 Midland Pullman
    Scenery upgrade

Sorry to pop your bubble but it's only a Class 104 DMU

    Edit: beat me to it

Please, could you share the name of your dealer? Evidently he gets you very good weed.

Has a release date or window been published yet for the pack and how far along are they in creating it?

Matt said on the roadmap YouTube stream Q+A section, that Simtrack Studios may have announced the pack too early, or possibly ran in to development problems.

    https://www.youtube.com/live/6ytq8laaR0w?si=IX-y9qw9SfJmV3Lu

He also said that DTG don't have the manpower or resources to help every third-party developer.

Best you can hope for now, is that Just Trains or somebody else can help them out.

If he is in Canada there is a weed store every 2 blocks. It is legal here so no need for dealers.

5 years ago yes, but not anymore. They are restricting non nationals now. In Holland it's only legal to smoke in select establishments or a private residense.
And generally restricted to a red light district. So you can't just walk down a street smoking it.

In Canada you can, its cheaper, you can buy more at a time than in Holland, and we aren't restricted to red light zones. There are literally stores everywhere. I have 10 stores within a 5 block radius of my house. Heck even pharmacies and grocery store chains have cannabis shops.

Also my Dutch friend who lives here now would also disagree with you at the present time.

    But anyways back to trains.

    I wouldn't expect it before TSW6.

It's been on the roadmap for well over a year now. It was 1-3 months a year ago so I wouldn't be counting in a release any time soon unfortunately.

Unless the reason it's taking so long is they're messing with the steam physics. Dangerous suggestion, very unlikely but we can dream

Not being on the roadmap doesn’t mean it’s not in development, there are plenty of dlcs (mainly pc editor projects taken in by DTG) that aren’t on the roadmap yet, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t in development. The BR 420 was taken off the roadmap a couple of years ago and now that’s been recently re-added to the roadmap recently.

Well I still think it's gone into development "limbo" but happy to be proved wrong in the near future.

Yeah I'm not sure about that one either. How do you announce something too early and put it on the 1-3 months section of the roadmap? Like there must have been some sizeable bump in the development that doesn't quite add up from what we know.

As you say I hope it does materialise! Just the lack of updates doesn't fill me with hope.

They have responded on another thread in detail so have a peek there.

There is more further down that thread as well.

Already noted that but I have my “Doubting Thomas” head on with this one. If it is indeed coming along again, why not some more screenshots of progress to demonstrate the project isn’t just vapourware?

I'm happy for this pack to take as long as it takes, if it is good, it'll be fine for me. The only problem is that, if I know there's a loco or expansion pack coming for a route, I tend not to play it, in favour of getting the 'full' experience later.

Though, I must be honest, I'm mostly interested in potential variants of the 104 for other routes.

Yes I have done the same with GWE. Even just knowing we will be able to run the HST’s with cab doors open and hear a bit more thrash, just makes me want to put any further time with the route on hold until the remaster appears.
