Love playing the penine route on PS4. Was reading the manual and it says the control for the AWS is on the back wall. I have looked all over the class 101 for this but can’t find it. Any suggestions?

Underneath 2nd man's seat? As a historical piece, AWS was in the UK from the 1930s on the GWR. I remember an old ramp at Crewe behind the main loco exam shed, for testing the system on the ex-Wales GW locos. I have a photo somewhere. Trans Pennine was AWS free on most signals, being Absolute Block working (semaphores).

Even if you activate it, it won't do anything cause the route doesn't feature AWS.
