The Caltrain Peninsula Corridor is actually being upgraded with positive train control and electrification all the down to Tamien station, one stop south of San Jose Diridon. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2021 and will see the introduction of new Stadler KISS Bi-level EMU trains for Caltrain.
My suggestion is that when the CalMod project is near finished, the Peninsula corridor should add electrification, positive train control, and the new Stadler KISS to the game.

That’s not going to happen. The route in TSW won’t be altered from its current form. Updates of this kind do not happen in TSW.

Routes in TSW are fixed in time. They do not evolve as the routes evolve.
