The peninsula corridor itself is a good remake of my local railway, however, I think the line should get a do-over as some stations are outdated. In 2021 Caltrain refurbished and reconstructed South San Francisco and Hillsdale stations so if they can get a remake to resemble current times, that would be great. Also, the gallery cars are very white on the inside. If you’ve ever seen or ridden Caltrain in real life, you’d notice that the coach interior is more yellow. Dovetail should also add the accessibility gallery car to the game. Additionally, the timetable should also be updated. The services are really out of date and I would love to see an overhaul of the current timetable. One last thing is if the train's route display on the side was usable. I think these changes will make the route a whole lot better.
I'd prefer a Southern Pacific 1950s-70s version with an FM Trainmaster (in both Black Widow and Red/Gray Bloody Nose liveries), an SD9(E), and a GP9. An Amtrak P30CH (15 units leased to SP in 1975), SDP45, and/or GP40P-2 could be added as DLCs for 1970s operations. An RS32 or Alco S4 would be perfect for switching operations on the route.
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a reboot of the Caltrain route, but I think it should be post electrification and feature the new FLIRT EMUs.
