This may have been suggested in the past , but the CK&PR was a line that closed in 1972 after the Beeching cuts, however over the years the route has been maintained as a public footpath between Keswick and Penrith. In recent years there has been a push to reopen the line due to the huge tourist numbers in the Lake District national park , it would be great to see this route in TSW and relive a bygone era of BR. The route was served by Class 108 DMU’s at the end which would be a welcome addition to TSW and with the beautiful backdrop of the Mountains and lakes the 30ish mile route would be an interesting and unique opportunity to bring the 70s to TSW
