Another Loco that can be used on East Coast Main Line Part 2 alongside Flying Scotsman hauling railtour services to Scarborough and Newcastle via Darlington Tornado's home it would be fitting to use on the Peterborough to Doncaster route too including recreating the 100mph run that Tornado achieved on test
Good suggestion, I think that Tornado is needed in TSW along with various other UK steam locos like Sir Nigel Gresley, Mayflower, Mallard just to name a few, it gives the opportunity for a double headed steam tour with Tornado and Scotsman
I am new to TSW and i have just learned how to write a suggestion. I have also contacted them directly about this loco. I think it would be an excellent thing if Tornado was in TSW. So if you are from Dovetail Games and reading this, please could you make Tornado for TSW 4. Ryan
It would be nice to have in game, however I am not an employee of Dovetail Games but hopefully they have seen your request in this suggestion to make it (when they start making steam trains again that is )
Tornado would be great but there are other steam locomotives that could be considered loco DLC for TSW and here's my ultimate steam loco wishlist: - 70000 Britannia - 61306 Mayflower - 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley - Black 5 Collection (44871, 45231 The Sherwood Forester, 45407 and more) - 35028 Clan Line - 46100 Royal Scot - 46233 Duchess of Sutherland - 7029 Clun Castle - 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe - The Four Battle of Britains (34092 City of Wells, 34067 Tangmere, 34072 257 Squadron, 34070 Manston)
It would be a good Steam Loco add on for TSW 4 if Dovetail wants to continue making steam loco dlc's for TSW
Too difficult to get right it seems. The core just doesn’t cope with the complex physics and system interactions. DTG have basically said they are not doing any more steam, or fixing the existing content. Outside chance a third party might attempt it but no sign of much interest as they will be working with the same limitations. So while it doesn’t hurt to suggest steam locos to keep interest alive, have zero expectations anything will come of it.
With respect, you must have been living under a rock not to have seen at least some of the discussion regarding steam traction. You could start with this thread I started, https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/dtg-have-abandoned-steam-in-tsw.77537/ towards the latter couple of pages the EP (Matt P) essentially confirms the situation and it has been discussed in other threads too. You can take it to the bank, so far as steam traction in TSW is concerned, nothing new is going to happen for the forseeable future.
