I wanted to open up a thread where people can post videos which show how smoothly their game runs (extremely preferrably with an FPS counter) with their specified screen resolution, graphics cards, processors, memory, graphics settings (preferrably all on highest setting for these tests) and Engine.ini settings, as some of those also impact performance. This could be helpful for newer people to orientate theirselves on what PC to buy or build with which components, and how Train Sim World will run on different resolutions on those systems. So let me start with my entry: Resolution: 1080x1920 FHD GPU: RTX 3060 (12GB VRAM) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X RAM: 32GB graphic settings: all on highest screen percentage: 100% Engine.ini settings: see attachment
Hardware specs see signature DX12 Engine.ini default (mostly applying tweaks on the fly via console if I feel like) Settings all maxed except for Sky (High, there's no real visual improvement setting it higher, only costs performance due to higher cloud voxel resolution) AA TAA Resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 150% ScreenPercentage (2880 x 1620) stable 75 FPS (capped, anything above is not distinguishable for me) - only exception is NEC NY Penn (40 FPS) Uncapped: 120 FPS 4K: 78 FPS (HD@200% rendering)
