I am contemplating purchasing TSW4 and i have an Xbox One, original one. Can anyone who has purchased TSW4 on an original Xbox one give feedback on how it performs? Thanks in advance.
it crashes alot Don't bother right now TSW3 is your best bet i too use 8th gen its a buggy mess at the moment it shouldn't be crashing but it does
I'm on the other Gen 8 system (PS4) and have had only one crash. Out of memory error, but it was my fault. I was adding a lot of freight cars to a yard with the free roam feature while the timetable was running also. Guess I added too many different types and ran out of RAM. So other than me overdoing it, TSW4 has been very stable on the old console.
ive had many crashes and its been freezing don't know what your on about its unstable for sure your just lucky i guess but yeah ive seen alot of 8th gen reviews saying the same in my response to DTG is said if 8th gen can't handle the game why has it been released ?
then again every time i crashed or the game was freezing i was in the flying Scotsman the 801 i have no problem with how strange is that
I guess I've been lucky so far. Only the one crash on Vorarlberg when I added a lot of freight cars to a yard. I still get the poor frame rate in busy areas and short, less than .5 a second, pausing when something has to load, but that hasn't caused any crashes for me. I get pretty much the same performance I got with TSW3 routes in that game version. Tuesday will be the real test when the other routes become available and add layers. That's when crashes usually start for me on the old fat PS4.
It crashed for me until I uninstalled and reinstalled it. I am on the original xbox one s and have no problems apart from the clock timer, which is a second slower to normal time, but the game plays beautifully and the graphics are so good.
From what I’ve seen of 8th Gen after playing on 9th for a while now, is I wouldn’t want to use it in all honesty, I really think they should have used this new iteration to phase out 8th Gen, they were already struggling a lot on TSW3 and it just ain’t fair experience in comparison for those on the older consoles.
Thanks for the feedback all, will be passing on TSW4 until i upgrade to Gen 9 or until TSW4 may return to Game Pass so i can use cloud gaming again
