I took these pics a while ago and thought - let's recreate them in TSW (1/n) Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr: This is the S1, departing Essen Hbf towards Duisburg This is the S-Bahn Depot right on the other side of the bridge: (special thanks to Foobian for his mod) Continued in next post
(2/n) Haupstrecke Rhein-Ruhr Standing on Essen West, looking towards Essen-Fronhausen The other side of essen hbf towards Bochum shortly after a shunting yard:
That's Köln Hansaring in direction of the main station in real life That's the same shot in TSW2 That is the other diretcion of Hansaring in real life and here it is in TSW2
Ohhh i like these pics! I hope some more people join this 1:1 comparison. It's actually really interesting to compare them to real life. For sure, not everything is 100% accurate. But imo, it doesn't have to be. It just should feel realistic. In that regard, the routes released after the TSW2 release are well done. I hope someone can provide pics for Dresden-Riesa or Dresden-Chemnitz.
Great job! Thanks to the 9€ ticket, these are great times for rail fans to travel very cheap around the whole country. Tomorrow I'll do a trip to Berlin. Maybe I can then present some comparision shots of Dessau Hbf. Leipzig is also planned and maybe Dresden, if the weather isn't so hot...
this is a part of Dresden central station in real life and this is the same place in tsw (route: Dresden - Riesa)
...and here are my first promised pics. Due to the short transfer times between the RB50 and the RE7 in Dessau Hbf (and the chance of a good seat), I took two older ones. A reversed one with the BR143 and its DoStos and also a bridge view. But I will be back in Dessau soon, beause I want to travel almost the complete "Rapid Transit" route until Leipzig Hbf. So current pictures will follow... bridge view RB with BR143 and DoStos
Awesome Thread, tried to recreate thiis Photo in the snow. Unfortunately, Bochum isnt the best place to show TSWs realism.
...yes this thread is a great idea and fits perfectly for Creation Centre! I got some new stuff from my trip to Leipzig. This station is so big and impressive, but so far we only have the deep section and that's why my 3 examples are limited to Leipzig Hbf Tief.
Really great comparisons! Thank you! At least on the visual point of view, TSW accomplish the mission! Some small details differences: - Hamburg Hbf "kiosks" roofs are dark not white. - Dresden Hbf we need a bottle dispenser, like the "Pringles" one for this station, at seen on the image! Please add more pictures if possible.
Meißen in real life and in Train Sim World 2. Unfortunatly there are no trains on the picture, but the city is modeled really well.
Yes, that city, IMO it is one of the best modeled in the simulator. Not forget to mention the really nice night lights. Same for the Marienbrücke bridge area, near Dresden HBF .
(1/2) Some more pictures of Dresden, which i shot on thursday. All TSW screenshots are from the Dresden - Riesa route. Outside of Dresden central station: Inside Dresden central station (S-Bahn): This one was hard to make in TSW because the station has some major "modifications", this platform looks really different irl. Inside Dresden central station (ICE/ IC): You can find the screenshot in the next post.
(2/2) the TSW-screenshot of the previous picture: Unfortunatly in TSW the ICE trains don`t leave Dresden central station from track 12, which is an error. Dresden Mitte: Dresden Neustadt:
...wow these are great shots of Dresden Hbf! Even the camera positions between the real and the game version are almost exactly the same. I hope we'll get an ICE-T for TSW in the near future too...
I know, i made that thread myself, but out of all threads here in the forums, this is my favourite one thanks to all the people who contributed to it. If you have more pics, go ahead!
An ICE-T would be really amazing. If i remember correctly in a preview stream of the Tharandter Rampe and the tilting 612 someone said that it would be possible now, because the 612 introduced the necessary technologies. But to be honest, irl it feels really disspointing that this 5-car ICE is the only ICE which leaves Dresden every 2 hours. I drove with this train 3 times and i think that this ICE is not big enough, there are enough people to fill a longer train. This ICE-line should be driven with at least two coupled ICE-Ts. There are so many small details which could be made in a short time (i think) and would add so much more immersion to the simulator. The clocks are really common at german stations, so adding them would be really worth it. Other "details" could be a bigger variation of signs on the platforms or more types of PIS-screens (they would be more difficult to make, but why not ).
Wow, those screenshots on the TSW1 routes (HRR) are pretty abysmal when compared to real life. The TSW2 routes look a lot more detailed and better built. Cheers
