If licences for modern routes and traction are proving elusive for DTG North American content, time to think outside the box and bring something like this to TSW: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...pestone-pass-three-forks-–-butte-route.88861/ Or as depicted in Trainz some years ago, the stretch from Avery to Drexel. Stop fixating on modern content.
I was admittedly jealous when I saw that announcement. This would be my US dream come true for TSW. In regards to licensing, the route seems unbranded, so the Milwaukee Road doesn’t seem to solve this issue.
Indeed. Would need DTG to overcome their anathema to unlicensed trains in TSW. Oh, hang on, Class 350 calling!
If we get the Milwaukee Road for TSW5, the electrified route should include a Little Joe, Boxcab, and/or Bipolar. Other Milwaukee Road power could include an SD45, FM Erie-Built, FM H-10-44, GP9, SDL39, SD40-2, U30C, etc.
True. I have always advocated against unbranded content and will continue to do so, but I will freely admit that I’d buy this one unbranded if absolutely necessary. The Milwaukee Road electrics are such an interesting piece of railroading history and given my passion for electric locos, I couldn’t pass this up. I know the Little Joes are the eye catchers most people talk about, but it’s actually the box cabs I’m most interested in. I love the no-nonsense design philosophy behind them and the long lash-ups to form one loco are fascinating to see. Nothing against the Little Joes of course, they’re beautiful machines with a fascinating wheel arrangement. That being said, the Bipolars are also interesting machines both mechanically and visually. Ideally, I’d take all, of course
Oldvern looks like you are trying to have this route Three Forks to Butte, MT over the Pipestone pass 6437 ft above sea level which itself is a train simulator classic route made by milepost simulation. The ideal solution would be milepost simulation its creator in TSC classic remake it for train Sim world
Correct, or Avery to Drexel which is one of the few routes supplied in a Trainz version I ever drove end to end and more than once.
