Just a fun additional scenery idea. While running the Doncaster route, I realised that the platform ends are rather barren - Doncaster in particular always has a clutter of spotters at the end of most platforms, particularly the London end of P4 (where the player services depart for London) I'd love to see some spotters appear there and other suitable places too (eg. All along the WSR). To this could be added a fun mechanic that more appear when an excursion is passing - so you know when Flying Scotsman is due past, for example, because there are lots of extra spotters on the platforms. Even possibly a gameplay mechanic that if you are running a special service and whistle or hoot as you pass, you get extra points (become a social media legendary driver!).
'Trainspotters at Crewe' is the Tier 2 mastery reward for Spirit of Steam and they do appear on WCML South (you do have to look for them).. all in all, I would LOVE to see this on more routes.
Imagine a ‘Railfan / Trainspotters pack Vol. 1’ becoming a reality.. ‘an assortment of railfans, young and old, spawning at various pre determined locations on platforms, bridges and trackside along all Just Trains TSW routes, make sure to give them a toot and see what happens..!’
