I have my first ever Platinum Trophy thanks to TSW 2. Yay
Nice. At least we all know this one works first time around unlike the first TSW where we all jumped through hoops for about 18months + trying to get trophy fixes
Well done Matjacma. Having a platinum trophy on your list gives you bragging rights in this case.
I think I've got 5 or 6 on PSN but they were mostly from games where you only had to complete the game to get it and most were story based ones like Life is Strange or the Telltale games ones (Back to the Future etc).
I only previously had platinum trophies from PS Vita games (primarily Lego Harry Potter ). TSW was my first Platinum trophy on console.
I very much like the fact that whilst it does require a lot of time to be invested, it doesn't require hours and hours of tedious tasks just to get the trophies. The majority of trophies come naturally through game play.
how did I miss this?! Congrats
Well done, myself and TinTin aren't far from this Plat too. What a grind,
Great job. I just earned the Platinum trophy in TSW 2 last week. Driving the 10,000 miles was the last one I needed. That was a long grind, but fun too as driving trains is why I play the game.
Congrats! Actually a pretty impressive to get as your first.
I‘m slowly working on it.
Today I reached Driver Level 25 and the silver trophy didn‘t unlock. Hope it will do later on and not be that anger like TSW1
It's way better then tsw 1.You should get your trophy as soon as you hit level 26
What is it?
congratulations on your plat! I have the plat from TSW1 I felt like I drove to hell and back to get it! It was also my 200th plat!
Yes the first was very painful
sorry, what is what?
200 platinums? Just wow. Think I’ve got 4
I don’t think I’ve got it in me to even try. Only the horrid ones remain, still pop back to 2020 to pick up some DLC ones.
Trust me there is no euphoria when you do get it. Our names should have been etched on a board at the DTG offices as a reminder of all those who persevered lol
I'm trying to get it too, walking 100 miles will be so fun. Well grinded.
That's not as hard as it sounds. You get it naturally when doing all the collectables on more routes
Walk 100 miles does not seem natural to me.
Thankfully you can run by default in the settings and it still counts. Imagine if they made it to the slow walk only.
As someone else said... I've gone by this considerably because of running around stations getting collectables. It would only be a grind if you are only doing core game trophies.
Good point, I use walk as default and the cab is my home.
walk don’t run, we don’t want you to trip on the vigilance pedal
it pops when all other golds silvers and bronzes have been picked up in the main set. DLC totally separate. 0.1 percentile on ps TSW2 owners have this.
I’m actually amazed that 0.2% have 10k miles but only 0.1% have the platinum?
imagine having done the miles and stuck on 199 collectibles?
Probably those who are not going for trophies. Driving the trains is going to be the main thing they do so that trophy will inadvertently unlock. Collectables you'd have to go out of your way for even though getting 200 across multiple routes could be done easily. Plus some do not bother with other features like journey chapters and only stick with timetable mode.
Finally got the platinum, that was a slog and a half.
I've had all but the 10,000 miles for something like two months now. Last I checked I was at 5,100, and it seems like I've been playing TSW2 nonstop. Insanity.
There was another thread where someone said they'd set up a scenario on Munich-Augsburg using the ICE 3, get it going to a high speed, save the game, let the train do the route itself and eventually it will crash or spad but the miles all count if they're under the speed limit, then load said saved game, rinse and repeat.
Hi all, I have a question regarding the 'Outward bound' trophy which is for completing 10 journey chapters. Is this trophy valid for certain DLC or base game train lines? I've done the 1st 10 journeys (where you go to 'continue journey' in-game) for Schnellfahrstrecke Koln, Rapid Transit and East Coastway but no trophy has popped? Am I doing something wrong?
You have to complete 10 entire journey chapters. These can be on any route, including DLC. There are often dozens of services/scenarios under each chapter so it can take a while.
Definitely take a look at all the DLCs you have. Some routes have much better journeys than others. Just to name a few examples: There are multiple small and easy chapters in Köln-Aaachen, but only two giant ones with dozens of scenarios/services each in East Coastway. Logically, it would be much wiser to pursue the smaller and easier chapters first and only tackle the huge & lengthy ones if they’re needed afterwards.
100 miles on foot popped last night. Literally one step close to the plat
guess which trophy I have left to get
I seem to have been stuck around 8200 miles total for ages. Must have done more than that but could be having the issues others are having with miles not tracking for some routes correctly
Many thanks guys for your help!
Since posting the OP, I have 3 Platinum Trophies now. One more each from Mass Effect 1 & 2. Should get the Platinum on Mass Effect 3 too.
I've got the plat for ME1 and am not far away from the ME2. But the aggregated platinum for ME Legendary Edition looks quite hard - finish all 3 on insanity level. Might give that a miss.
I don‘t have the legendary edition yet, but I do have the platinums for all 3 original Mass Effects. Insanity is not quite as hard as it seems. In ME1, it‘s just annoying (but not overly difficult) since everyone can soak up bullets like there‘s no tomorrow and NPCs have that weird immunity ability. For ME2, I highly encourage you to try insanity. It‘s perhaps the best instance of difficulty modes I have ever seen in a game. The added shield/armor/barrier layers (instead of more health) make the game a lot more about tactics - ME2 on normal and insanity are almost two completely different games. I highly recommend trying it out! For ME3, it doesn‘t make a whole lot of difference again. Everyone‘s a bit tankier, but if you stay in cover a little more than you‘re used to from normal, you‘ll be fine.
If you want to have a somewhat easy go at it, play as an infiltrator. It‘ll save your life in ME2.
Erm is the TSW2 PS Console or something else!
Well done mate I got the platinum trophy just before Christmas
I have 120 platinums in total
Finally! That's both TSW and TSW2 done now. This one took way longer than it should following the total distance bug that was introduced. Should have had it months ago. Anyway, all done now
Still collecting miles, but I guess I'm gonna get LGV in the next sale to speed it it up a little
Thanks. Yeah 91km with each run at about 33 mins per service. Soon racks it up on LGV
nice one congrats, the LGV made me chuckle and thought “smart move, why don’t I do that”
still 3000plus to go for me, must must get the plat before the PS5 version comes along.
What is a platinum trophy on TSW2 and how do you get it? Any ideas?
A Platinum Trophy is awarded when you’ve earned every other trophy in the set of trophies that the Platinum Trophy is linked with. It only applies to PlayStation.
Oh right. I have Xbox so it won’t work, but thanks for explaining.
It's the PS equivalent of 1000 Gamer Points.
