Vote for who might add a NEW country in 2023 or if no one will. Note:Now i listed all currently listed content creators for TSW3,just to be fair. And yes i'm aware that not all of them may be able to accomplish such a task.
There is another 3rd party group that usually does China and Japan routes, but I cant remember the name. I think that one is the best bet for a new country.
You forgot Union Workshop who joined the partner program and have experience building Asian routes for TSC
Well if you remember them i'll add them to the poll,i hadn't know there where more then the current ones listed.
I don't see UW having a route done this year, they are still working on one for TSC, and I doubt they can get one done in 12 months for TSW.
They were announced as new TSW3 partners not long ago. So yes, they will make TSW3 content but it will probably take them some time to adapt to the new tools and development process.
Maybe they could partner up with one of the other content creators and make it a multi team effort so as to perhaps get one done.
Rivet games is a real possibility as other then DTG none of the others have released a different contry other then them so far.
Since ats just joined, don't expect a route to be made this year. Just trains is probably going to do a uk route or uk loco to start out since they have made uk content therefore easier to make. Tsg well does only Germany and he already has plans for more dlc such as the 420 and possibly the 232 and helping out dtg. Rivet is probably going to make a swiss route Dtg might but highly unlikely since they rarely go outside the big 3. Would I want a new country? Yes Is it likely to happen? No
Well let's see DTG has done Canada and France and haven't been back since. Rivet Games did Switzerland and returned to it 3 times. They also have a few scottish routes but i think that UK territory. The point is there's gotta be someone on this list with the clout to try and do a route somewhere new.
Sadly, I do not see another country being added this year. I would love to another longer Canadian route added as there is only the one. But it would also be nice to see another country added into the game.
I have to say it surprising that CNSD route has quite a few passenger stations and yet DTG never even bothered to add either a VIA RAIL or a GO Transit passenger train dlc train add on to this route.
Just Trains since they have a partner in the Netherlands that can help them make Duisburg-Oberhausen-Arnhem Utrecht the Hollandstrecke that can merge with HRR by using Duisburg Mülheim Styrum as the common Origin Point. Missing is RSSLO for Austrian ÖBB and Slovenian SZ
This is another example of a weird poll...... I'm asked what are the chances of a new country and the provided with a list of developers...... Chieflongshin, what are the chances you'll win the lottery today. Your choices are: Poland Egg and ham sandwich Brown Gary at the butchers Left Right, let me think.......
Hmmm...I'm stumped by this post either it's attempt at humor or something else. The poll question simply asking which if any TSW3 developer might do a new country in 2023 or will none of them.
There's a small thing called licensing. Those operators probably declined to provide a license to use their name and logos in the game. There was talk of the baby bullet being added to Oakville SD for pax services but no new news on that and it would still be in CalTrain livery.
I would suggest wording the question differently.... you're asking what, I assume what is the likelihood , in which case it'd surely be a yes/no /maybe answer whereas if you asked "who out of the below developers might release a new route in 2023?" the poll question would make sense .... In its current incarnation It does not read right.....
My poll question has the word "who" in the main thread section so it's there incase you didn't notice. Besides it to late to change the main question with the edit option.
I think what he is saying is that without a crystal ball nobody, except DTG, will know who will bring a new country to TSW3. Polls are usually opinion-based rather than a lottery guess. They all MIGHT bring a new country route in 2023.
Highly unlikely, but not impossible that they make another french or french-german-cross-border route. Something like Karlsruhe-Straßbourg, which they built for TSC. Or an Austrian route, since PZB/LZB is more or less identical and locos like the 182 or the 185 could be reused. I see Rivet making another swiss route this year as their last 2 routes were UK-based (+the coming expansion pack for WCL). Skyhook did some austrian stuff for TSC, but no route, just locos iirc. In case DTG makes an Austrian route (which they made in TSC), Skyhook would be a candidate for a loco DLC. For UW, it's hard to tell. Seeing that JT joined over a year ago but still no news about a DLC, it's unlikely we will hear anything substantial from UW this year. Although I have no idea how big their dev team is and how well they might already be familiar with UE-tools. And related to that: A friend of mine actually wrote RSSLO an E-mail a few weeks ago, asking if they have any plans to develop for TSW, but the answer was (sadly) 'no plans this year'.
Probably Union Workshop will be the closest to releasing something from a new country, either China or Japan. But in 2023? I doubt it. Currently they are working on a japanese route for TSC, which might be close to release, but I don't see them finishing a TSW route in less than a year. So I think they will release their TSC route this year then hopefully their first TSW route in 2024.
