If you have a fixed formation consist (such as 390 or 801) with first class at one end, and you want to run the same formation up and down, can you get it to go in one direction, and back out in reverse, or do you need to have 2 separate consists and set 1 doing Northbound runs, and another doing Southbound runs? With 2 and 3 car DMU’s and EMU’s it’s less noticeable as they do get turned regularly in real life, but Main Line services generally keep First Class at the London end.
