(I' m just talking about my positive experiences/the train and the route in the first picture is is the FB BR642 From the maintalbahn and the route s-Bahn Vorarlberg/ You are also welcome to write positive pages for the new update here as well as criticism and suggestions for improvement Let's start directly with my favorite topic with the DB BR642 (Desiro Classic) Finally there is no more overexposure It looks much better now than at the release Secondly, small details such as new passengers (Small joke/and Finley we have Jeff Bezos in game) The performance seems to have improved just as positively, no more jerks and a smoother gameplay At some points with tsw3/4 cards, it now also looks much nicer
The loading time has also been improved when I launch the game. I don't have exact numbers but the bar seems to fill up slightly quicker at least for me (still slow but still improved). For the record, I'm on steam.
I’m just happy that the Wipers on the Great Western HST have been fixed. I got a new PC last week and I was looking forward to the update. So, many thanks to the modders who updated their mods so quickly to work with it. I had a couple of fantastic runs on GWE last night, finally able to drive the HST in the rain with fog and Ultra settings and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to playing more over the weekend. Edit : not volumetric fog, just normal fog. My mistake.
I have to say I like the "no talk just work" attitude, much better than the other way round. Continue doing so, even if it means making only small steps to get better, like the japanese Kaizen philosophy. Just keep on going.
Volumetric fog means there's aerosol particles, which reflect light. Old ToDv3 fog doesn't, it's just a simple alpha layer applied to specified distance.
Volumetric fog requires the brand new lighting that came with tsw3. If you see light cones coming out the headlights or in some cases, the light cone and reflection is so bright that you lose all vision, then that's volumetric fod
I agree the update is a huge improvement. Finally a lot of issues in the pipeline are resolved. Good work!
Glad to hear an issue like the wiper get fixed, still completely stuck getting back into TSW until z-fighting is fixed however, can’t say much further on how things have changed unless I can get back in.
Well I actually fired it up this evening and had the randomiser spawn me into a scenario on BPO. The 142 is still an excellent train to drive but the route (sim) still has the most horrendous pauses and lurches both graphically and audio while the game plays catch up. Can't really say what the changes have wrought as yet though loading both initialy launching the game and getting going in the sim itself do seem a bit quicker.
They've broken the scoring! They've ADDED a driver tip to turn on the safety systems to score more points so when are we going to get the training missions to tell us how to turn on and use these safety systems! It's all well and good half arsing the tutorials but safety systems is one of the main things we should be being shown how to activate and use since TSW was first launched!
Thanks for enabling the toggle for the traction lock on the mini HUD. If you could just add similar toggles for the speed limit and gradient it would be close to perfect! Oh, and maybe allow us to pick its position on the screen...
The mini HUD no longer has me seeing red. Much appreciated option to turn off that icon. Thank you DTG!
Mine isn't positive. After the fast moving external camera on consoles was gone with the release of TSW4. Now they broke the possibility to hyde the HUD by using normal HUD mode.
