mikey9835 on the discord has found an artstation belonging to a supposed TSW contractor with some interesting assets. I searched these down and found the location for each (with help from another user for finding the depot). This evidence supports the existence of the Waldbahn for TSW. Here some of the screenshots: museum 2.png museum.png

Hey! So yeah I found this on ArtStation but full credit to Vuurkip and a few others on the Discord for finding the exact location. As always this is not official confirmation but to me this does feel like a promising lead for a new German route (that being the Waldbahn)

Last year a similar post on ArtStation was taken down for showing Tring posting house too early, which was an unintentional leak for the WCML South route.

Tread carefully posting "leaks", after what happened last year.

That said, this looks a rather nice route, something different and rural though I rather doubt it would be the keynote late summer/TSW6 German route.

Not if you lose your forum account and as happened last year led to the mass suspension and possibly dismissal of the entire TSW5 external beta testing team. It could also potentially scupper licencing if a train company wanted their involvement kept confidential until a particular time. At a basic level it’s a breach of trust and quite likely a NDA which could lead to the person responsible being sued by the company for any financial losses.

Oh yeah we all remember the leaks drama which was probably the reason why the LNR licence was removed to DTG. If I’m not mistaken, someone from the beta testing team leaked these pictures on discord and then it was posted here.

About what OP posted we can’t really say it was a leak if the pictures were published publicly, and can be easily found on artstation.com.

Yeah it's public domain so it's not really the same scenario. If anyone gets in trouble, it's the person who put it on ArtStation

I think it depends, small leaks are usually not that detrimental to DTG.

But large scale leaks, like last year, can have severe consequences for both the leaker, and DTG.

In this instance, this artstation model is accessible to everyone, so this should not effect dtg in any way.

This would be absolutely incredible, I live like 20 minutes away from one of the end points of this route/network! :D It’s basically my second-closest local line, apart from the Donau-Isar-Express (Munich-Passau) which stops in my town.

The Waldbahn network is genuinely a great way for locals and tourists alike to go deep into the Bavarian Forest National Park. I love walking along the Danube river in Deggendorf, watching the little trains breeze past.

It’s a very nice network with many different lines on offer. Different formations, service frequencies, cool coupling operations and simultaneous departures at the center of the whole network in Zwiesel. Varied scenery with dense forests, wide fields and great visibility of Lower Bavaria. The trains show up in many parts of Germany (albeit often in different liveries), so the possibility for layers and gameplay packs would be there. Plattling station serves as the connection to the rest of the German railway network and would allow for ICE, regional express etc. layers. The Plattling area could also be reused as part of a future Donau-Isar-Express route since it’s right in the middle of it.

Edit: For those who are developing the route, if you need any additional footage, I can happily go there no problem. Just pay for my lunch and coffee and I‘ll get you the images all day ;)

Very, very convincing. I think the identification is undeniable.

Nonetheless, the contractor may be in trouble with DTG for posting contract work, which you can bet is covered by an NDA. Of course, then it's possible these were just portfolio pics done on his own, nothing to do with any paid work.

Yeah I agree he might have breached the NDA inadvertently but it can be just an item he made for another game or available to purchase, it’s not very clear. We might have some clues next Monday, when the mods will be there and if they’ll close this thread or not.

Those models are actually quite a bit more detailed than what we usually get in TSW when it comes to the unique signage.
